Would that be the Ebay store that sells trannys out of Phoenix?

Trans slipping? or torque converter not holding the power?

What is it doing exactly?

A real "pig" when taking off from a dead stop? When you take off pull the gear selector down into low and see if it "bumps" down into second. You may have a governor transducer/solenoid issue. Those are "usual" suspects when your trans goes into "limp in" mode and takes off in third.
