Tranny ?

Ok I have another problem with my truck and I swear if I didnt love driving her as much as I do I would get rid of her. The problem is transmission related. The truck will shift fine when Im accelerating but when I let off the go pedal and start going through like a town where the speed limit is 35, it will downshift fine to the gear but when I try to accelerate like from 30 to 45 it feels like its searching for the gear and revs up and then after it finds the gear it's fine, but as soon as I get down to this speed it does it, can anyone help please. Thank You Chance.

What have you done to it so far? Have you checked the throttle position sensor? Mine hunted like that, because the socket on the sensor, where the throttle shaft goes in, had worn and had slop in it. Because it had slop, it did not give true readings to the pcm so the tranny would know what I was asking of it. I bought a new one from Autozone, and it took care of it.

It would be a good idea, and an easy one that takes just a few minutes, to pull off the throttle position sensor, and look at the socket.
