Question Timing Questions

I checked my triming this past weekend and found something very interesting. To my knowledge the pump is stock and timing gas never been adjusted. However my findings would prove otherwise. I found that I have 5.5mm of lift at TDC. This calculates out to be 19*. I was looking to advance my timing to 15-15.5*. The CPL on my motor is 2022 and according to Piers site I should only have 4.8mm at TDC for 15.5*. Is something wrong or should I roll my timing back. I know a little more timing is O.K., but 19*??? I need some help please.

All the stock timing I've ever checked has been low or right on, never a high one. With timing at 19 it could be hard starting but run fine. Perhaps you didn't have TDC right on or the timing pin is off which isn't unusual. If it runs fine leave it be.
