Tc sliping ... defueling

Does the computer defuel if it senses the TC slipping . 2001 3500 auto 4x4 .That might be my problem for power loss towing on the highway .

That is a qualified yes. If the automatic goes into limp mode, the system defuels and you will creep in second gear. You will also get the warning light and a ton of error codes.

If you are simply running out of poop when towing, check your fuel pressure from the lift pump. If that is good, then do the throttle zero relearn procedure, and if the problem is still there it will be time to check the injection pump.

The auto trucks de-fuel in OD. Are you use to that ?
