tail lights and parking lights quit working

Help, I've checked all bulbs and fuses, taken off the trailer light plug and I can't get any power to these lights. Is there a relay or something else that I'm missing?

Can't give much help unless you tell us what year and model truck. Fill out your signature line to assist us in answering you.
If a newer truck there are relays built into the power distributation center (nothing you can service yourself) and only the dealer can reset it. If an 06-07 there was a flash for just this problem.... otherwise just keep looking for a fuse or relay or even possibly a problem in the turn signal stem or.....

....actually the "flash" and "reset" is pretty much pointless. They dropped the ball on the design. The TIPM drivers could actually handle up to 40 amps, but due to the smallish #20 wire they used, they are afraid to go much higher than 17.5 amps....which is plenty....unless you have a problem that repeatedly trips the built in breaker. Eventually it fails. I suggest buying some relays and #16 wire and use the TIPM outputs to energize the relays for the turn signal and/or running lamp outputs. Even if you install a new TIPM, you are subjecting yourself to the same grief. I've "rewired" a couple so far and I'm sure more will come.

Sorry about not putting make and model in my post. Haven't posted on a help site for many many years and forgot the protocol. My truck is a 2002 2500 Ram Diesel. Thanks for the assistence so far.

OK, being an 02 the power distribution center is out of the equasion as it is only a problem on the newer trucks, think it started on the 06 and up. I would look for a fuse or relay that is bad. Have you tried both fuse panels, the one under the hood as well as the one on the drivers side of the end of the dash?

Other than that not much help here.

If the fuses check out ok, the next thing I would do is to pull the headlamp switch and see if you have 12v on the blk/yellow wire when the switch is on.

Thanks for the info about the fuse blk under the hood. Thought they were all in the side block on drivers side. Found the blown fuse and every things working fine now.
