HELP! My tail lights won't shut off (parking)

Came home this evening and my '99 2500's tail lights were on (parking). The switch is off and the front marker lamps are off. Very Odd!

Any ideas?

Stock trailer wiring configuration with a tap for canopy interior light installed years ago...

Thanks!

Update

Started pulling fuses as I just could go to bed with this on my mind... The 40A trailer fuse in the main block was the only one that turned the lamps off. Must be a short in the wiring??? Fun, fun, fun...

Anyone else run into this before?

Your wires in the trailer plug might be where the short is there is a hot wire in there for charging the battery of your trailer?

Yep, that was it... Had a melted mess of wires in the Canopy.

Mine did that a while back and I finally traced it back to my trailer brake controller being shorted. was able to isolate it by simply unplugging the thing.
