sticking APPS!!

Has anyone had the APPS stick? Was going down a flat road yesterday at 85 km's when I went to speedup, the throttle seemed very stiff so let in the clutch and the engine went up to 2800 rpm. Guess that it now needs a new ( expensive ) APPS.

Maybe you should look at the throttle cable first.... And at the cables of the cruise control- unhook all cables from the APPS and try to move it by hand.
I've never heard of a sticking APPS on those trucks, but had quite a few with frayed sticking cables...

No sorry it is the cam sticking backwards in travel , for when it sticks you have to pull it forward to get it to go back to idle.

I have one for sale in the 3rd gen classifieds. I believe it's the same part number as your 99. Check it out (it's one or two pages back)and PM me if you would like to discuss it...
