Stereo - no sound

The stereo (bone stock) has gone dead. There is current to the dash, but there is no sound from the speakers. I have a rather large stereo with many speakers. I guess there is a fuse in, or in connection with the amplifier, but I cant say I am sure of where the amplifier is. Is it the cromed box on the firewall just foreward of the glovebox (or behind the airfilter)? It is a Motorola product. Where is the fuse? I dont have any blown fuses in the two boxes.

The truck is a 2000 - 6 speed.

The enginesound is ok as far as music goes, but I cant get much news or wheatherforcasts from it.

Keep up the great work.
