Steering/brakes are out

Truck has a brand new hydroboost (installed today), a fairly new power steering pump, and the steering box itself is new also. The steering is very stiff (no way could I drive it like that) and I've got to stand on the brakes to get it to stop. I figured it was the hydroboost, but apparently not. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Just blew air through the ps cooler to see if maybe it was clogged, but everything is flowing just fine. No one has had this problem before?

Only things that come to mind is either the P/S pump went out or it still has air in the system.

I've got another ps pump I could stick on there just to check. As far as air in the system I just took the cap off and cranked the wheel back and forth (quite the workout) till there were no more bubbles. Anyone know of a better way? Friend of mine is coming over to lend a hand and he thinks it could be a collapsed hose, but Im not so sure cause everything is flowing fine.

Have you checkd the flow of the pump? Is it actually circulating fluid? There is a pressure regulator in the back of the pump , IIRC, that coul have stuck giving you flow, but low pressure. Worth taking it out and cleaning....

Jack the front end off the ground while you're trying to figure it out, it'll turn much better.
