starting problum
the last couple of days the longer the engine sits not running the more turning over it needs to start , seems like fuel is draining back into the tank and has to reprime.
Mine was leaking air through the electrical connection that operates the heater element in the fuel heater/strainer assembly. You can unplug the electrical connection from the side and check to see if the plug is burned up or is wet with fuel. If so, you have air leaking into the fuel system which can explain starting problems and excessive white smoke when you start it up. I just ordered replacement parts including the cable harness that includes the thermostat that mounts on the top, the heating element, and the strainer kit from cummins. About $110, less than half of what Dodge wanted for entire assembly.
