Stalling

I have a 1998 24 valve 3500 4X4.

My problem is with stalling. It fires right up then stalls after it runs for a few minutes. It's not consistent and hesitates at times while driving but not all the time. After it does stall it fires right back up. (It's not smoking)

sounds like its sucking air somewhere, check all the rubber lines first. and the clamps. then look at the fuel heater and filter housing.

You are new to these sites.
24 valves all suffer ( as stock) from a fuel pressure issue. Check the pressure at the pump-vp44- most likely the vp44 is not getting the fuel it needs to survive.
Then, (you will find it is low or non-existant) either buy a good aftermarket fuel pump, or build one for it.
Fass, airdog are two good examples.
Do not go to the intank set-up.
your system needs 15 psi max with at least 5-8 at full load.
you can search to your hearts content on this!!!!

The VP will put up a code if it is dying, mostly dead, last legs.
In that year the L.P. will throw no code
Stalling and NO code is not a reason to sell you a VP...with out checking everything else 1st
