slave cylinder

Can anyone tell me how much distance the slave cylinder moves? I think that is the problem, not sure if it is working right.

Another common problem for hard shifting or grinding is the pilot bearing going dry and eating the input shaft.

You should fill out your signature to give everyone a better idea of what you have.
It helps everyone be alot more specific to YOUR vehicle.

I just played the whole scenario of bad hydraulic system stuff. If you have any air small (and I mean small) leaks in the system, you can do all kinds of second guessing to figure out problems. I bought all new primary and slave cylinders and still had aproblem. I had supplier of master cylinder get in touch with factory and give me a new lesson on "bleeding master and slave cylinders" which I followed to a T still fail. The problem was still air in the system untill I found out that the aftermarket slave cylinder was approximately 1/8" short of a full stroke from completing the clutch cycle........ Guess you live and learn and shorten your wallet padding in the course......

Good Luck,

Gary

Yes, use a good hi temp grease and try to pack it in the bearing. Don't over do it because the excess grease will sling out on the disc and cause a grabby clutch for a while.
