slamed door -won't start
slamed door -won't start
have 03 2500 Laramie 4x4
daughter slamed passenger door on exit - engine stopped.
started next day - shut driver door - engine stopped.
now diesel will crank - won't start - shows P0629 on code reader (high voltage on fuel lift pump).
if I clear code will it start ?(I would rather find fault 1st) -do not want to fry ecm
should I try to clear code?
Did this ever happen to anyone out there?
Scary - don't want to be stuck miles away (lucky it happened in driveway)
Truck is stock with less than 80000 miles (125000km)
Any ideas??????????

There should be somekinda shutoff switch, when I bought a car one time they showed it to me,supposed to shut off the rig in an accident....but bumping a curb could shut it down...maybe your truck has the same thing,I'd ask the dealer, the one my Mitsubishi had had a button to reset it,so yours should too.
thats my guess, that or a loose fuse, those are my guesses.
I think my engine fuse is #9.

On (some) cars, there is an inertia switch in the front of the trunk under the carpet, I have reset it once for a customer whose car would not start. I was puzzled for quite a while as there was nothing obviously wrong with the car, but the troubleshooting tree in the manual actually had the switch check listed, so that worked. But, nobody could slam a door hard enough to reset that switch though, the reset force was way higher than any door slam. I am not even sure the Ram has one.
I would suspect a corroded or loose connector somewhere in the pump harness, maybe intermittent connection could cause arching (minor) and hence the code. And the door slam disengaged it momentarily.
