Exclamation ?'s on changing shocks on '03 2500 Dodge Cummins.

'03 dodge 2500 4x4 i6. iam putting the 2.5" leveler kit on the front of my truck. while iam doing this i have decided to change the shocks as well. do i need to compress the front coil springs in order to change the shocks? this is the first time i have ever changed shocks. also any tips on installation of the leveler kit would be beneficial as well. thanks!

Shocks will expand out so no you don't have to compress the springs. 2.5 inches with regular length shocks could be a setup for death wobble bilsteins or any other shock made for 2.5 inches of lift would be better. It can be pretty tight sqeaking the springs in with the spacers but it's not too bad.
