Rusty brake line, where to get on Sunday?
Hi,
Rusty brake lines. It's Sunday, can I buy a stock line to replace the steel line that goes from the rear axle and past the fuel tank? How long is it? Where is the forward end?
Thanks,
Mike

Been there myself, this happened to me a couple of weeks back on a Sunday my lines ended up rotting out on the inside of the frame between the fuel tank and frame rail. What I would do is just go to one of the big box auto parts stores and buy the correct size line and some fittings make sure you get a couple of unions in case you can't get there with one piece and have at it....
Should be 1/8", but it might be 1/4". Make sure you get line with SAE fittings, not metric. Get longer sections than you think you need and put a "Z" bend in it to shorten it up (be careful not to kink it). That'll get you through until you can get a new line or a good double flaring tool to make your own.
Hi,
Rusty brake line past fuel tank fixed. Two 60" and one 30" 3/16" brake lines plus two connectors was the perfect length to run new brake lines from the junction block on the frame, driver's side, near axle to the junction block behind the driver's side front wheel. Thanks to Schoust and Wannadiesel!
