Question RPM stumble when returning to idle...

I have had this problem since day one(two weeks on this truck). My dad says it's normal,
but I figure I'd get the real answer here...

Start up..no problems.
Idle at start up..no problems.

**Increase RPMs (driving or stopped), take foot off the accelerator and the truck's idle drops to 550-650, stumbles for 1- 1.5 seconds and returns to idle at 750-775 RPM. This happens each time and easy to duplicate.

What do you think?

I would take it in and have it ECM reflashed , and have them check it for unswitched power loss. even bad grounds could cause that.

Mine does the exact same thing, when you are stopping and press the clutch in the rpm's fall to about 500, the engine stumbles and then returns to 800. It doesn't do it it you are not moving and raise the rpm's to say 2000 and let off, it then falls to 8oo and stops. All I know is that noone make a quality product similiar to 10 years ago. I wish I could order a new truck with an old 185 horsepower B series Cummins, like the 1989-1993 Dodge trucks had. Those little engines were fuel efficient monsters.................
Guess I'll drive this '05 till it pukes like my duramax did ...................
