Gear Shifter On A 01

Howdy all finally got around and bought my new truck well the only thing wrong with it is that the gear shift **** is up side down and for the life of me i can not get the thing to go back to the right postion the way it is now when iam in 6th gear it looks like iam in second LOL

Take the number plate off and loosen the nut and turn the **** or just turn the numbers. it will pry up just be careful

When i fixed mine, I used two small screwdrivers to pry the number plate off, tightened the nut (it was loose) with a 15 mm deep socket, put a dab of RTV where the number plate goes. Doesnt move now.
