Turbo problem?
I have an intermittent power problem at low RPM primarily when cold, but at some times after warm up. It seems that the turbo is not working and the truck will not pull past 1100 RPM accompanied by bluish white exhaust smoke. after a couple minutes it will suddenly kick in and run fine. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Welcome to the site. The first thing you need to do is find out if there are any codes. On yours I think you can cycle the key three times and leave the key in the on position (without starting it). If there are any codes you should see them in the odometer window. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on your truck? If so, what pressures does it show? It does not sound like your turbo is not working. If that was it the truck would smoke black real bad. I am thinking maybe the APPS or a VP44 problem myself. Since it is an '02, wouldn't it be covered under warranty?

Sorry.
Hope you are still covered under warranty.

The VP44 is the fuel injection pump.
