removing front brake rotors on 2wd
i don't know if they are the same as mine. here's what i did......... after removing wheel, remove caliper bolts, 1 upper and 1 lower, (they are tight!) remove brake hose, push pistons in a little bit with a screwdriver so the pads clear the rotor slide caliper assy off and set it aside.... at this point i use a C clamp to push the pistons in and getting rid of all the old brake fluid.
put a small container under the hose you removed to catch the fluid draining from the master cyl.... now you are ready to remove the rotor.
if you have a oxy acetylene torch it works faster... if not use a propane torch and heat the rotor in the area of the wheel studs all the way around.... as soon as the heat expands the rotor enough you can grab with gloved hands and pull it off, you may have to rap it a little with a hammer....... i have done a lot of rotors this way.... it takes longer to tell about it than to do it
