Rear axle seal bad....
Noticed one of my brakes was squeeling some so I looked under the truck and I have diff fluid dripping out of the brake drum. Will I need any special tools to remove and install a new one? Does anybody have a part # for the axle seals??? By the way, I smelled the fluid and it is definitely diff fluid, not brake fluid....

Re:Rear axle seal bad....
I did this in July. I don't have part numbers handy but I did purchase a torque wrench and a special socket. The old seal was a pain to remove as I did not have the special tool to remove it. Installing it was o.k.. I also replaced the nut and the locking key. (nylon insert in nut) You will find the nut and key are less expensive if you don't purchase from D.C.. Remember it is a Dana axle and other manufactures use the same parts. NAPA was the bigest help. Haynes repair manual has some good pictures in Chapter 8 on doing this.
