Ram 3500 4x4 rotor job
Re:Ram 3500 4x4 rotor job
Well, you made the same mistake as I did. You do not remove the rotors with a puller. You need to unbolt the bearing assembly from the steering knuckle and then drive the 8 studs holding the bearing assembly from the rotor. You will need to try to reassembly the bearing assembly without damaging the seal. Be carelfull since the bearing assembly is about $400 each.
Re:Ram 3500 4x4 rotor job
Thanks for your help, but I did unbolt 4 bolts from the back and hub/rotor would no move. So I used Pully. How do I get a back part of the hub form the steering knuckle?
Re:Ram 3500 4x4 rotor job
Is the bearing retainer stuck on the steering knuckle? Or is the axle shaft stuck in the center of the bearing? The 4 bolts that you removed are the only ones that hold the hub assembly on. (That is of course that you have the axle nut removed) The axle should be free in the bearing but my need some penetrating oil. If the retainer is stuck on the knuckle, lube up the flange with some good penetrating oil. I suggest using P Blaster ($4.00 at Wally World). Don't bother with W-D40. Tap the hub with a brass hammer and it should come free.

Try looking under this site. I had to do the same thing about two months ago. It will help.
