Radiator leaking severly behind fan shroud

Found leak in radiator behind fan shroud of my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 P/U. I Removed the shroud and found the electrical support wore into the radiator. I ground off some of the plastic material which gave the needed clearance.

Need to know if a radiator sealer will be a permanent fix or does the rad need to be repaired?

Dodge needes to inform its customers on these issues.

WELCOME aboard KASS

Have the radiator soldered and just say no to cheap fixes.

Sealer is a TEMPORARY "fix" NOT a repair.

Is it possibly still under 7/70 warranty? I agree Dodge ought to take care of it (unless you relocated it doing mods). I wouldn't trust sealer, if it's not under warranty I would order another rad online or take it to a trusted rad shop. Keep us updated and by the way... Welcome aboard Kass. Where are you located? I tried a popular brand Stop Leak in my old 280Z radiator - it stopped the leak for a while, then the radiator literally BLEW, it looked like somebody hit it with a shotgun. I recommend fixing / replacing the radiator!
