PS Fluid Leaking From Booster

I have ps fluid leaking down from between the booster and the master cyl. Is this something that I can fix without replacing the whole unit? I am stuck out of town and would rather rebuild it than spend the 500 bucks at dodge to buy a new one. No Parts houses near me have one. Please reply or point me in the right direction. I had done a search but didn't find anything. THank you

Chad

well are u loosing PS fluid or brake fluid?...i dunno if ur system is like mine or not or if u have the hydroboost...whatever it is the LAST place id go to is the dealer...i replaced my booster in the summer and it was 70$ at carquest....master cylinder would have been 40$ at autozone if i remember...not a complicated job to change either...might be a pain to blead the system from scratch though if ur doign the master cylinder

You ought to be able to keep topping off the hydroboost system until you get back to home turf.

Had same problem after changing fluid to synthetic. I purchased Lucas oil power steering leak stopper tied a diaper on the booster. and kept adding fluid until the leak stopped. It took at least six months to stop. Considered replacing the booster but as the synthetic fluid was replaced the leaking stopped. OK now.
