Proper brake bleeding proceedure
Proper brake bleeding proceedure
I've alway's thought you started at the wheel farthest away from the master cylinder. Wich would be the pass rear. I did a search and seen where 2 differant guy's were starting at the driver's rear. Now I just read in my Mityvac user's manual to start at the closest wheel, and work to the farthest.
Now I'm totally confused.
So what's the proper method for my 04. Is there anything to worry about with the ABS.
Also, I read to use dot 5.1. Well so far all I can find is just dot 5. Is there enough of a differance to worry about it. I guess I could try a race shop if really need be. Thank's for any input.

I might be old school, however I was taught to work from the furthest wheel to the nearest to the master cylinder like you posted. I usually do rears, front, and then rears again, and then front to finish up. Hasn't given me any issues to date with any vehicle.
I think 5.1 is what Harley Davidson uses. It isn’t silicone based like 5.0, but still absorbs water and has higher boiling points than 3,4 or 5.
