Just get the right pump... I don't know about the 01's, but I know mine had this pressed on shaft adapter that you basically don't want to play with (even with a hydraulic press, you'd need angle iron and a welder, and you'd probably still mess it up ). Get the pump from the dealer, I found it was cheaper than the other parts stores (pricing error?) and a direct bolt on. Much more fun.
