Ok have to replace the power steering pump on my 97, i took it off ok and left the vacum pump on the truck. Do you need to pull the vacum pump to put the new steering pump on or can you do it with the vacum pumo on the truck? I am having a hard time getting the steering pump to mate up with the vacum pump. I am getting it lined up but it is not wanting to go all the way in and mount flush against the vacum pump. Tell me what i am doing wrong. Thanks.

 

No you do not have to pull the vacuum pump you just have to line it up look at the vacuum pump drive with a mirror to see how to line it up
