power steering
now that the cold weather hit....... my power steering is making an awfull noise does a lot of groaning even afterit has warmed upthe groan can be heard does this require something major or maybe an additive?
Mine has done the very same.. Its normal for the OEM fluid if it hasn't been changed yet. The suggestions I have read and am going to do myself is to swap out the stock fluid for synthetic. It seems to get rid of the groan, plus a flush of the system is good for the power steering and hydraboost brakes.
Siphon out a little PS fluid and add a bottle of LubeGard Power Steering Protectant http://www.lubegard.com/automotive/p...rotectant.html
You'll find it at most autoparts stores, works excellent.
