a couple of week ago, wife calls me and says the truck stalled at a light. it started right back up. I brought home a scanner, (I'm a tech) and got p0336, crank position sensor A performance error? malfunction. so I check connections, and the sensor, and the sensor, and all was fine. Freeze frame wasn't of any help, but I wrote it down anyway. I cleared the code, and it's been almost TWO weeks, and no code again.
I have a six gun installed, and I thought maybe this might be the issue. I called banks, not once, but five times so far, and have NEVER got a hold of anyone!! is this company for real?? anybody else have problems with the company? I just want to ask them a couple of questions about the code, but if this keeps up, I'll sell the darn thing!

 

gnarlykaw, have the same problem with my 04.5 3500, had crank position sensor replaced, started doing it again bout 1 week later, have u had any results?

 

All I did was look at the freeze frame data, and recorded it, and cleared the code. it has not come back since. I called Banks to ask if they had any issues witht eh six gun causing this, and they told me the box was "non- intrusive" to the P.C.M. programing. it short, not the problem..................

 

I've had it do that to me.

And my other buddy with a 600 and a banks also....336codes more than once.

And it runs fine.

Banks said they knew nothing about it.
