Please Help: Buddy stuck in Charlotte - '94 6.5

I have a 94 6.5 turbo that was just shutting down constantly. All signs point to the pmd. It has an aftermarket remote one installed on top of intake but was still getting too hot. I managed to get a couple spares i swapped out and it stopped shutting down. But shortly after starting it, the check engine light was still coming on and was running and starting rough and idle was low. I changed out the sending unit under the driver seat on frame. That worked and it was running great for about 2 hours of driving, but the light came back on and it lost what feels like about 20 or so HP. Its not shutting anymore at this time, but just down on power and cuts out past half throttle and falls on its face. I would like to know if it sounds like it will get me the 500 miles home so i can deal with it there.
Any ideas what to check?

I'd really appreciaye any help here, as I know nothing about the 6.5.

Thanks!

You might check www.62-65-dieselpage.com. There may be someone here who can help you, but there probably aren't the experienced voices that you need, quickly.

do you know wat codes are coming up? and how many miles are on the injectors/ pump. fuel filter may be part of the issue. try draining the water trap in your filter, could try calling ssdiesel supply and running it by annette. she is usually very helpful in emergency truck situations.

if you could find a shop that would let you use their obd I scan tool you could check your codes. just remembered, if your pump is out of time it will do wat you are describing.
