Question Truck dies while driveing down the road. Help Help Help

I have a 2005 Dodge Diesel 2500 That just randomly quiets. Your driveing down the road and it just dies. It may start right back up or it may take a while before you can get it to start. May run for a few days and not die at all then do it 10 times the next day. This can happen with any amount of fuel in the tank. Took it to the dealer, they drove it said it done fine(which it does sometimes) so they have no idea.Any ideas on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

Was the dealer able to pull any codes? Might give some insight as to where to start.

I would start with cleaning every post on the batteries and work out from there to check for loose fuses etc. Then it gets time consuming with more in depth testing, like the ignition switch.

It sounds like electrical, but without further clues it is a guess at this point. As has been said, are there any codes? Do you have a lot of keys (heavy weight) hanging from the ignition switch?
How many miles on your truck?

There are about 100,000 miles. I have a code reader but came up with nothing. There are a lot of keys on my ring never thought that could do anything.

I would start at the batteries make sure there very clean and tight then try and ever so slightly move the ignition switch try to repeat the symptom then look over all the wires and grounds in the engine compartment ,making sure non are loose even try and move them with the engine running ,be careful you don't get caught in moving parts also check the CPS but that should of tripped a code but not always . come back if you don't get any where, there is a lot of knowledge here

As rebel said. The weight of a lot of keys has been known to cause ignition switch problems. Other than that, sorry, but I have no further suggestions.
Please let us know when you discover the final solution to your vexing problem.
