Question Parts information needed

Hi everybody . Due to a stupid move on my part I succeeded in cracking the oil filter head ( I think thats what its called , its the plate on the right front of the engine over the oil cooler ) on my '94 Dodge Cummins turbo and of course now I have a bad oil leak . I need to find another one since this one cant be welded I'm pretty sure .

What years will fit my engine ? I found a couple on e-bay for a reasonable price , but not a '94 ... all are newer parts . Would all the 12 valve engines be the same ? If somebody with a parts book could check for me or knows for sure , I would sure appreciate it . I did a search online but no real info and out here in the sticks there arent many in the junkyards .

Or if you have a spare kicking around on an old motor let me know .

Thanks in advance !

94-2002 should all be the same. The 24V filters also fit my 12V.

You can expand that back to '89.

If the guy on Ebay is redlinear - he's a good guy, I've dealt with him in the past.

As another option, you might be able to make a remote oil filter kit work. Something like this:

Thumbs up

Thanks everyone for the info . I did locate and buy one off of E-bay for 20 bucks + shipping , cant beat that deal as they are over 200 bucks from the dealer . Its not a rare part as there were many being auctioned off . Apparently from '89 up to 2002 are all the same EVEN though they show a different part # . I got a 2002 and it fit my 1994 perfectly . The only difference is the oil pressure port to the turbo and a blanking plug position are reversed on top of the filter head , takes but a second to change 'em . Strange they would add a part # change for just that ...... but so it is . I did have to buy a new gasket cooler to block YEOW ! 57 bucks for the bloody thing and I dont have a tax resale number anymore , so I had to bite the bullet ! Oh well , gotta get it running , I still wound up saving a lot of coin !

Hey , you all have a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season !
