Park/Nuetral Switch Leaking

My 2004 Dodge 2500 has been in the shop for a week for a replacement of the rear main seal, camshaft seal and relocation of the fuel lift pump to the gas tank. The dealer called and stated that the Park/Nuetral sensor at the transmission is leaking with an estimated repair cost of $100. Is this a reasonable cost to fix a leak at the sensor?

If you're under 70k miles, it sounds like that should be covered under the 7/70 Powertrain Warranty. In which case I'm sure they've already hit you for the $100 deductible for the other stuff this visit, so don't let them double dip!

The cost for the switch at the dealer is about $32. You simply unplug the wire connector (it has 3 wires in it), unscrew the switch, screw in the new one. You'll get a little tran. oil on you, and you'll need to top off your transmission. Or...have them do it!!
