Out of park

I cannot get the gear lever out of park. Any suggestions

Yep... I have two of theses trucks and have driven them over 150,000 miles without incident. The BTSI solenoid seems to be stuck. Does anyone know how to disconnect or remove that solenoid?

Is the steering wheel locked? I'm not trying to talk to you like you are unintelligent, but grab the steering wheel and turn it a little one way, then the other and try to pull the truck out of park.

check your brake lamps the brake lamp switch or fuse could be bad. might be able to turn your key to the off ( not lock position to shift out of park too )
