Before anyone else starts flaming you, if you put gas in a diesel truck, you have a real problem.

Now that we have corrected your choice of words lets get your truck started.

But first, a word from an old diesel driver. NEVER let your truck get below 1/2 around town. It is hard on the LP, and the fuel can heat up when below 1/4 tank due to it being used for cooling. You are not saving any money but running on "E", and doing what you do just cost you time , money, and possible damage to starter (cranking hard), sediment getting into the fuel system, and having to listen to me. In addition, being prepared for an emergency you would have to stop and get fuel if you had to leave in a hurry. Everyone else would be stopping for fuel also. Be smarter than the crowd, it might save your life.

If your lift pump is weak (or not working) it will not do you any good to bump the starter to run the LP. You may hear it run, but it may not be pumping anything. You need a fuel pressure guage.

Try cracking open the fitting on the down stream side of the fuel filter and see if you are getting fuel to the injection pump.

Next, take a 3/4" wrench and crack at least 3 lines at the injectors...crank & crank until the air is out and truck is about to run...tighten the lines and crank'er up.

Fill it up and keep it there.

ALIGHT i cracked the lines at the injectors and i got plenty of fuel coming out of them. Another thing is that when i am cranking it the motor sounds like it has a lope in it. Do you think i picked up some stuff in the bottem of the tank and it clogged one of the injectors

Glad you are back on the road.

Keep it between 1/2 & full, and get a FP guage. You'll thank me when you save your $1,500 IP.
