Hey guys, need some help, this is going to be a little complicated to explain as it is being relaid over the phone too me ,my buddy just phoned me, he just lost all oil pressure in his truck. so he pulled over. the oil was coming out of the tube on the head, he said he opened the oil cap and white smoke was coming out. all ten liters of oil come out all over the under carriage. his truck is a 2005, he's stuck on the side of the road right now. I have know idea what it could be.

I am afraid he has at least one bad injector.

I have had this happen to my '03 twice. I never lost oil pressure but I experienced everything else. The injector hangs open and fills the crankcase with diesel causing it to go out the overflow and all over the poor people behind on the highway.

Have it towed! Hopefully no damage has been done to the motor.

I agree, tow it. He has already been driving like that for a while to fill it to the point of overflow.

Just got off the phone with him, wouldn't it have an effect on the rail pressure? he says it's normal. he filled it back up with oil fired it up,it idles fine but when you drive it starts to puke it again.

Mine never lost pressure, and when running you could not tell with the exception of a rough idol.

I am not an expert, but I have experienced the exact thing twice!

I order to fix it then is it a matter of pulling the injectors and having them fixed or replace with new ones, he has DDP 90hp injectors now.

When you pull the cover, start the engine and you should be able to see the white mist coming out. It is most likely just one injector.

I am running stock injectors with 50 hp nozzles so I only had to replace the electronic portion of the injector.

I would definitely not drive it or even start it again. If it is Injectors it call hydro-lock or was the cylinder walls not providing enough lubrication. Just shut it off and wait for the tow truck. It would not necessarily affect the RP.

Sorry but I think you are all wrong. Pretty sure it has a broken ring on one piston so it is pressurising the oil system. Is any of it coming out of the dipstick tube? Block off the breather off the gear case and see if it squirts out of the dipstick tube. It will only do it when you mash on the go go pedal, other than that it will not have enough pressure to make it come out. Pull the head, their will be no parts in the pan, inspect the cylinders by baring the engine over, find the scored cylinder, hone it, re-ring it, move on

So lets get a little more in depth here.
The all important question that hasn't been asked is, Is the motor filling up with diesel or is it just pushing all the oil out the breather?
If it's filling up with diesel then it's most likely an injector, if not it might be the rings.

4-play didn't post anything about filling up with diesel, he posted that all oil was lost along with oil pressure. to me that says some condition is blowing the oil out of the engine, not that it is filling up with something. i can see why his friend put more oil in it and tried it again.
