i was driving my truck and it felt fine then i had a loss of power and my check gauges light came on and oil pressure read zero so i stopped and turned off the truck and there was an oil leak underneath....i got back in and turned it on and the gauge read fine so i drove home and nothing when i slowed down comming into the driveway the light went off again what could it be? where is the oil pressure sensor? i have an 06 5.9 btw thanks

 

If there was a leak it sounds to me like you have more problems than just a sensor...

 

what was leaking and did you check the oil?? if you had a injector crack it will thin the oil out to a point where it will not build enough pressure setting the cel off.

 

get a mechanical gauge,take out sender,put in mech gauge and see if you have pressure.
