oil cooler removal

Coolant reservoir is full of motor oil (not tranny, it's a manual).
I'm trying to get the oil cooler off to check it while keeping all 10 fingers and toes crossed that it's not the head gasket.

Problem I'm running into is that I've got all the bolts out, but the cooler won't let go. I don't have any of my manuals with me, so I can't look it up. Is there something else I have to take off, or is it time for the BFH??

I happen to have a manual for an 01. I'll look it up and get back w/ you soon.

The ring of bolts around the filter boss is all there is to remove. There are two gaskets, one on each side of the cooler, and they tend to stick like glue.
