Speedometer quit, ABS light on ( truck does not have ABS) and airbag light on. What could cause this?

2000, 2500 5speed stock

 

the speed sensors are pretty notorius on these. is at the rear of trans or on the rear axle. but with the air bag lamp on too wiggle you key or move it slightly. you lock cylinder may be binding or ign switch could be acting up.

 

nice try but i'm still going to have to write you a ticket.
at least thats what the cops always tell me when i try that one

 

Is anything else not functioning, like cruse? Could be your clock spring if other functions in you steering wheel are not working.

 

I'm guessing the VSS sensor in the rear diff just died.. Simple part to replace, not cheap and I could only get it from Dodge. None of the parts suppliers had stock in my area.
