Don't know if you just bought a new tranny or not but at about 50k I put in a new TC & VB. Right now at 85k it slips badly and I'm trying to get the $$$ for a new tranny from DTT.

I DO NOT hot rod. ;D I am a very conservative driver - an old man. The only mods are straight pipe & EZ. I am not happy with the DC tranny. > > > But, I LOVE MY TRUCK !!! :-* :-* :-*

Sounds like you may have just bought yourself a new tranny. The electronics may have crapped out also. Had that happen to mine once. When it was cold, it worked OK. Tranny would hang in a gear unless I floored it. Once warmed up, the truck wouldn't even move no matter how much throttle you gave it. Acted like it was starting out in 3rd gear or something.

Frankly, at 99K you are three times past where I see most OEM automatics fail if the engine is fueled up a bit.

But, all else failing, drop the pan and check your oil for burning and the bottom of the pan for particles larger than the sharp end of a pin. If any of these are present, you are probably ready for a transmission. If none are present, I would trouble shoot the electronics.
