maybe you have a electrical Draw?? pull your negative battery cable and put a test light between the neg battery cable and the neg battery lug/terminal, if the test light, lights up you have a draw.

Have you taken the truck in and had the charge system checked? by a Vat 45 or equal machine or did you just take the alternator in and have it checked?

Quick alt output test. Start truck. Carefully touch screwdriver to back of alternator. If it attratcts like a magnet, it's putting out some amount of voltage.

With the truck running check with a test light to see if you have 12v to the upper small terminal on the back of the alternator . If you don't you have a wiring problem . If you do , it is either the wiring back to the PCM or the regulator in the PCM . In my case I put on an external regulator and all is good. Do a search in Tech Facts , 1st Generation , External Regulator . Good luck

- wish I knew for SURE where they were, you may be relegated to doing a manual trace of the wires, feel for the links; I am not sure what the would even FEEL like, should be way different than just a wire - somebody posted that they were on the drivers side battery, should be a good place to start...

I 'spose you've been through the alternator connections, did a double check of the Master fuse (140 amp) - (I blew mine once and could only tell by pulling it and slapping an ohmmeter on it, the plastic casing was too old to really see through).....

Good luck, I HATE Sparky Gremlins!
