Need a (NEW) NV4500 Where to buy. AA is out.

Hi all found your site doing a search for a NV4500. Got to
thinking you just might be the girls and boys that have a idea
where to find a deal on a (NEW) NV 4500. I have it in my mind
I got to have a new one. Been jurked around for near a year
over a 4500 and now have my hackels are up that its got to be new.
Is NV still out there? Why in heck did they ever quit making the 4500.
Wish I had the cash to have 5 or 6 of the things on a shelf waiting for
projects.

Check with Quad 4x4, you can get his web site if you google Quad 4x4. Or call him a 406-446-2427.

New Venture is out of business as far as I know. It was a DC controlled company from what I understand, now is kaput. I don't think there are many new ones out there, if any. There are some good rebuilders, 4X4, Blumenthals (OK city) and Standard Transmission (Ft. Worth).

If you want a stock unit try Jasper engines. I have no experience with them but have heard good things and they have a pretty good warranty

I just ordered a reman from Blumenthals. Peter from southbend clutch recommended them to me.
They do have NEW units. I to was ready to order a new unit, but when I talked to Monte at Blumenthals he told me to go to with the reman for the fact that it has all the updated parts (shaft, cast iron tailhousing, and he said it had different synchros)
Good luck.

Yup I know its been 3 years or more since the last NV4500 was made new.
Sad day when the last one came off the line

Possibly, but then why would GM have them too?

Here's were I read about DC's ownership. Since they just changed names perhaps the NV4500 is still alive under a new name.

I'm sure there are lots of piece parts that different manufacturers share.

I'll second blumenthal's. I now have 500 miles on mine, and it'll take every bit of abuse I can dish out to it.
