Need help re-setting fuel guage

Need help re-setting fuel guage

I just replaced the vp44 and pick-up pump with a Fass.The problem is the last pick-up pump that went bad my brother in laws pulled the tank and bent the float rod.I fixed that problem yesterday but the guage is reading wrong .I know there is a way to re-set it but cannot remember.Any help is appreciated.thanks

No resets allowed. You can bend the float arm slightly to calibrate sometimes. The tank unit may not be able to move up and down in the slides. Did you install with correct orientation???

I bent it back and made sure it would move up and down. And i put it back in the same place it was facing the long ways end of the tank with the hoses facing the frame rail.

With the float up the resistance should be 20 ohms and down will be 220 ohms plus or minus 6 ohms.
