Help setting up di pricol fuel pressure sending unit

I installed gauges in my truck this weekend and all seemed to go well. However the instructions for the fuel pressure sending unit are not very good. I am not sure I did it quit right. I show 16 P.S.I when the pump runs without the truck running and about 13 at idle. I know the nimbers are within limits but again the instructions for setting up the sending unit were not the best. Does any body have some better instructions or know where I can go to look them up. I just want to make sure I did it right.

I am not sure what your instructions said to do, but you have two choices on where to install the pressure gauge sender. The first is at the test port on the inlet side of the filter, and this can be done with an adaptor. The second is the rear port on the injection pump. and either a modified banjo bolt or an adaptor is required for that location. The difference is that the first test point is pre-filter, and the second is post filter.

Generally speaking, either place is just fine as long as you are good about keeping your filter changed. If you have problems with dirty fuel and are worried about plugged filters, use the port on the injection pump, then you know for sure what the pressure getting to the pump represents.
