Need help with lockup od

Dont know much about lockup trans. Have 92 d350 with cummins. Keeps coming out of od even at 65mph. What could this mean? Trans is new and converter as well. Could this be an electrical issue or?

sounds like the speed sensor or tps. could also be a loose wire, check the feed line that tells the converter to lock up for looseness.

The stock transmission for a 92 is an A518 (also referred to as a 46RH). Unless the new converter is a lockup unit (not an OEM replacement) it should have a non-lock converter.

OD issues are usually caused by the TPS or VSS. The TPS can be adjusted, as shown here: http://www.piersdiesel.com/Tech1GTPS.htm
