Question Need HELP ASAP... Is the Orfice in the A/C Evaporator tube replaceable...??

Is the pencil looking thing (Orfice) that is in the Evaporator tube replaceable or does the WHOLE low pressure tube need to be replaced ??

You buy the orfice and they throw the line in for free!!!! (yes, you need to purchase the whole thing).

No doubt! The CHEAPEST orfice (and tube) I can find is $113 !!!

Where can I buy one CHEAPER ??

If the line/tube is not clogged up, I just bought the orifice tube and put it in the condenser connection. Been working fine for 6 months.

Wouldn't your truck then have (2) orfices ?? One inside the metal tube (inbetween the 2 indentations) and the other at the condensor connection ??

Yeah, but if the compressor craps the one I put in will catch the crap and I can pull it in 2 minutes.
