More Problems...First Dim Lights, Now NO lockup

Well I just posted in here about my lights being very dim, now when I was driving into town i noticed that my T/C lockup just completely stopped. Whats weird is that the transmission is brand new. It didn't lock up as hard as I thought it should when I first drove it off after the repair but I just figured its b/c I just went with a cheap T/C for the time being until I can save up money. But now I don't get any lockup what so ever. If I want to get going over about 55mph I have to put the pedal to the ground and I can barley keep it at 70mph. I have been reading that this may be the TPS sensor. If what I am reading is right, the TPS controls shifts and T/C lockup...Am I wrong? Or has anyone else had this happen to them? Also, I checked my codes with my scan tool and it is throwing me a P0743 code, but I have heard that that code will automatically be thrown just by putting on a T/C lockup switch which I do have, and I also can't get lockup if I use my switch, I can feel, and hear it trying to lockup but I just doesn't!
