Missing and White Smoke
Missing and White Smoke
I have a 99 24V Turbo diesel 4x4. I recently bought a new car and the truck has been sitting for about 2 months, with little to no attention. I decided to drive it this morning and noticed on the way to work that it felt like it was missing, so I hit the gas and white smoke started billowing out of the exhaust? Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Could it be condensate in the fuel system from sitting for 2 months? The truck was running fine before I stoped driving it.
thanks in advance for any help.

"Missing" or Loss of Fuel
Well I say miss, but it feels like its not getting fuel. It feels like its losing power for just a second, every few seconds (seems to happen right around 2000 RPM, and just before it shifts to third gear. I can actually see the RPM's drop a touch when I feel the power loss. If I let off of it, it seems to work itself out and once I get past second gear I dont seem to have the problem.
