Master clylinder - where in the line does the roll pin go? HELP!

Desparately trying to get this swap done by tomorrow evening - when taking the stuff off the donor truck, the roll pin was driven out of the master cylinder in order to disconnect the line to the slave cylinder.

Now, its leaking .

Its leaking out the end of the master cylinder when I press in the clutch. Then I removed the whole setup (master and slave) and set it on my work bench and hooked up the resivoir and manually pressed in the master cylinder shaft. It kinda spewed a mist out the rear as it did earlier.

Maybe I put the pin back in wrong?

Should it go where the white arrow is or where the red arrow is when installed? I've had it where the red arrow is.

Any way to get this dang thing to seal up? Maybe its just getting air out of the lines? I don't know...

Thanks for any help.

Dennis

Found out where the pin goes thanks to someone with an old master cylinder.

Its still leaking .

I noticed that when I pull on the line there is a very small amount of forward/backward movement. I'm wondering if a washer or something fell out.

Would the world end if I were to put some RTV or some epoxy in the groove that the roll pin slides in to help seal it up?

i wouldn't do that. brake fluid would probably just eat that stuff away. and lets face it you don't want to be stuck in a situation with no clutch.

I have never seen this part but is there any chance there was an O-ring on there that might have fallen off or needs to be replaced.
