What do you have for fuel mods? Any? Is it the stock system? How long of a drive was it that you lost that much fuel? Have you checked the obvious fuel lines? Where they attach at the injection pump? Have you checked you oil levels?

OK, stock questions? Still under warranty? Under 100000 miles? If so it is covered under the Cummins engine warranty with "NO" deductable. Now on the important questions and comments. Is the truck covered underneath and rear & sides with fuel/oil mixture?? Check the engine oil level and is it way over full?? My guess if yes to both questions is that you have lost an injector or 2 or 3 which pumps the crankcase full of diesel. DO NOT DRIVE IT. Call Dodge for towing and have it towed to your nearest dealer. Hopefully no modifications to it like an Edge or Bully Dog or tuner of some type. If so remove them immediatly and any traces of them like Velcro, wire taps etc otherwise your friendly local dealer "WILL" void your engine warranty immediatly and this repair will be on your dime unless he is mod friendly which a few are. Cost of 1 injector is $600-800 plus labor so be aware it can get expensive real quick. As they say on this site "If you play you may pay".
As far as the towing how far did you have to have it towed? Why didn't you call Dodge who would have towed it to the closest dealer for repair? And then you could have rented a car if you still had quite a drive. Just inquiring minds want to know type of questions!!!

Good luck and keep us posted as to your results.

no mods done to the fuel. just air filter, silencer ring MIA, and muffler MIA. lost the fuel in about 5- 10 km .(sorry from canada). whole underneath covered in fuel and drivers side engine compartment. it was a 250 km tow. but caa and my company will cover it. didnt check oil level yet but checked before it happened it was fine then 80km down the road it was done.

Really need more info on your truck. The older 2nd gens had a fuel tube that goes from the inlet on the IP to the top of the filter assembly. That tube fatigues from vibration right around the banjo and cracks. Cummins has an updated part for it with steel braided line. I lost 25gal of diesel and had to get towed out on I93 last year. The other common problem is the hose on the return of the pump. It cracks and spews fuel all over the place.

From the sound of it still looking to like an injector. Check oil level.

And as above fill in your signature so we know what you have. See that it is an 05 4x4 2500 Quad cab but if you fill out your profile it will show up every thime you post as most of us have done. It really helps when diganosing to know pertinant informtion. Go to user cp and then user signature and that should do it after you fill it out. Other info is under user profile for general info.

Not sure on your Canadian warranty but would think it is very simuliar to the US one as far as time & millage, I'm just not sure about the conversion factor.

Again check oil level and if overfull 99.9% sure it's an injector or more. Been there, done that 3 times on my 04.5. Thats why I now have an 07.
