Re:lost fifth gear yesterday.
Sorry to hear that :'( :'(<br><br>If you can afford it, go with the 5600. Should run around 4-5k less if you do the swap. Call Monty @ Blumenthals in OKC. <br>405-236-4800. <br><br>It is worth the $$$$$, I just made my final payment to the bank for my tranny swap. It is expensive BUT You won't regret it ;D
Re:lost fifth gear yesterday.
It's not a big job.<br>First you got drop transfer case.<br>Then take rear cover off tranny<br>Get a repair nut and replace it .<br>The trick is it takes a special wrench to tighten the nut and it has to be 300 ft. lbs. tight.<br>Or if you opt. to change and update the output shaft.<br>But that is a little more involved.<br><br><br> : Eddie : 8)

Re:lost fifth gear yesterday.
dont know if they are close to you but mine went out in tenn. and i had it fixed at music city dodge in nashville. they got on it at 9 and had me out by 4;30. the gear was stripped so they had to replace it. it cost me 800. Since yours is probably simple it might be around 300 or 400 for everything. Good luck and happy hunting.
